Outdoor Decor for Holiday Parties

The most wonderful time of the year is here, but you will not be dashing through the snow if you are living in the Ponte Vedra area. Instead, you will be enjoying the warmth that graces the Sunshine State all year around. Florida’s perpetual summer season allows residents to keep their pools open throughout the fall, winter and spring. Those who own custom pools can use this to their advantage by hosting lavish holiday parties outdoors. Create your own winter wonderland right in your own backyard—without having to deal with the annoyance of real ice and snow. Here are some ideas for outdoor holiday decor for your parties this winter.

Walk-Through Winter Wonderland

Make your home a main attraction by setting up a beautiful arrangement of lights and decor that transform your Florida yard into a winter wonderland. Skip the blow-up Santas and Charlie Brown figures and opt for a more luxurious feel with white lights and shades of blue. Faux candles are an excellent touch that can be hung safely in trees or set in other landscaping accents.

You cannot have a winter wonderland without snow and ice. Of course, you could always invest in a snow machine and give your guests a taste of the real thing, but most choose to use a snow look-alike and crystal icicles. Make this an interactive experience that keeps your guests entertained throughout the evening.

Christmas Film Showing

Watching Christmas films is a season pastime that many families enjoy during the holidays. You can host your very own film festival right there by your custom family pool. If you do not already have a projector, they are an excellent investment that can be used time and time again. You can decorate for your Christmas film showing by displaying posters of the most beloved holiday movies. Incorporate rich elements such as poinsettias and the traditional colors of red, green and gold. After the party, roast marshmallows over your fire pit!

Up On the Housetop

What better holiday decor is there than your very own Santa right on your house for all to see when they arrive at your pool party? Use bright, colorful lights to show off your holiday spirit, and do not forget to put on your favorite holiday tunes. If your guests will be using the pool, purchase a few fun holiday-themed floats that they can use in the water. Custom pool lights are an excellent touch that can be used to decorate the pool itself.
