4 Reasons to Complete a Pool Renovation Before the Summer

AllSeasonsAdmin — Wed, 10 Feb 2016 12:00:00 +0000

Whether your pool is worse for the wear, in need of serious updates or just plain out of style, the thought of a renovation might have crossed your mind. With upgraded systems, new decking and tiles, and additional water features, you can complete the transformation from pool to paradise this winter. Here are just a few of the many reasons why you should have your Orlando pool builders finish your pool renovation before the summertime hits.

1. For Better Scheduling Opportunities

If you think about it, trying to complete a pool renovation in the winter might be easier than doing so in the summer. The kids are in school, the busy holiday season has come and gone and Orlando pool builders are less likely to have a packed schedule. You and your remodel professionals can work together in order to find a time that works best for everyone.

By having your pool remodeled during the winter, the construction process is likely to interfere with your personal schedule. With the project finished before the summertime, you don’t have to fret over missing out throwing end-of-school or birthday pool parties, as your pool will be good to go as soon as the warm weather rolls in.

2. You Can Landscape in the Spring

Your yard will undergo some construction during the remodel process, which is to be expected. When you have your pool remodel completed before the summer, it gives your yard the opportunity to recover before everything grows back. As the weather heats up, you can enjoy working in your yard and landscaping during the summertime, followed by a refreshing dip in your new and improved pool.

3. The Weather Is More Predictable

In Florida, we are no stranger to warmer winters in opposition to the unpredictable summer weather. This makes the months before summertime the perfect time for pool building, as contractors do not have to concern themselves with keeping an eye on the radar at all times. Rain can halt construction, but daily afternoon showers are less likely during the winter, which can aide in keeping the remodel on schedule.

4. To Enjoy Your Pool All Summer Long

It should go without saying that having your pool remodeled during the winter allows for you to enjoy swimming all summer long! You don’t have to worry about missing out on much needed recreational time during the sizzling-hot summer months due to construction. Your upgraded pool will quickly become the place to be during the summer.

Not to mention that with a finished pool, you can direct your attention towards other projects in and around the house, much like landscaping. You can think about finally adding that outdoor kitchen or living space you’ve always dreamed of, or you can have a fire pit installed to complete the ultimate hangout spot. The options are nearly endless as you work towards converting your backyard into a mini-paradise this winter.

The Phases of Pool Construction

AllSeasonsAdmin — Wed, 06 Jan 2016 15:00:00 +0000

Getting a pool built for your home can be an exciting experience, as you watch your yard change into the backyard oasis you’ve been dreaming of. While pools are great additions to any family home, there is a construction process involved, which might leave you wondering what the pool building process is like. Here is a brief overview of what the phases of pool construction are so that you know what to expect when it’s time to create your watery paradise.

Preparatory Stages

Before construction can begin on your pool, you first must settle on a design. Your pool construction company will help you determine which area of your yard would best be suited for such a structure. Once you have decided on a design and a location, and once all of your permits have been issued, the construction process can begin.

Firstly, the sod where your pool will go will be stripped away and properly disposed of. Stake forms will layout the shape of your pool so that the proper area is dug out and shaped accordingly. After digging, to further shape the area where the pool will be laid, a professional and skilled shaper will correct any inconsistencies with a back hoe.

Installation Phases of Pool Construction

Once the first phase of pool construction is complete, the plumbing can be installed. After the pipes go in, steel is bent and put in place as a barrier of the foundation before the gunite is applied. Gunite is a mixture of water, cement and sand, which is typically applied with a pressure hose. It’s not until after the installation of the gunite that the form begins to look like a pool.

The ground is then graded and the remainder of the plumbing is put into place. Waterline tile is installed around the pool’s perimeter, followed by the construction of the deck. An inspection will have to take place before the concrete for the deck can be poured, but once the concrete is in place, the textured acrylic can be applied. This acrylic is what will make your deck sparkle in the sunlight and give you a smooth surface to walk on.

Final Touches

After your deck is squared away, the construction company will clean up your yard and clean out the interior of the pool. The step tile is then installed, and the swimming pool interior will be put into place. Now, finally, your pool is filled with water, but you can’t swim just yet for the final phases of pool construction are not complete.

A service technician will fire up the pool equipment and give everything a thorough cleaning. He or she will ensure that everything is running properly, as well as balance the chemicals in your pool. After all is said and done, your pool will be ready for swimming when you are.

To keep your pool looking like-new, have your pool technician come out on a regular basis to run chemical analysis in the water. Additionally, you should have your pool professionally cleaned. Not only will doing so keep your pool looking great, but it will keep your family and friends safe.

Outdoor Decor for Holiday Parties

AllSeasonsAdmin — Wed, 16 Dec 2015 15:00:00 +0000

The most wonderful time of the year is here, but you will not be dashing through the snow if you are living in the Ponte Vedra area. Instead, you will be enjoying the warmth that graces the Sunshine State all year around. Florida’s perpetual summer season allows residents to keep their pools open throughout the fall, winter and spring. Those who own custom pools can use this to their advantage by hosting lavish holiday parties outdoors. Create your own winter wonderland right in your own backyard—without having to deal with the annoyance of real ice and snow. Here are some ideas for outdoor holiday decor for your parties this winter.

Walk-Through Winter Wonderland

Make your home a main attraction by setting up a beautiful arrangement of lights and decor that transform your Florida yard into a winter wonderland. Skip the blow-up Santas and Charlie Brown figures and opt for a more luxurious feel with white lights and shades of blue. Faux candles are an excellent touch that can be hung safely in trees or set in other landscaping accents.

You cannot have a winter wonderland without snow and ice. Of course, you could always invest in a snow machine and give your guests a taste of the real thing, but most choose to use a snow look-alike and crystal icicles. Make this an interactive experience that keeps your guests entertained throughout the evening.

Christmas Film Showing

Watching Christmas films is a season pastime that many families enjoy during the holidays. You can host your very own film festival right there by your custom family pool. If you do not already have a projector, they are an excellent investment that can be used time and time again. You can decorate for your Christmas film showing by displaying posters of the most beloved holiday movies. Incorporate rich elements such as poinsettias and the traditional colors of red, green and gold. After the party, roast marshmallows over your fire pit!

Up On the Housetop

What better holiday decor is there than your very own Santa right on your house for all to see when they arrive at your pool party? Use bright, colorful lights to show off your holiday spirit, and do not forget to put on your favorite holiday tunes. If your guests will be using the pool, purchase a few fun holiday-themed floats that they can use in the water. Custom pool lights are an excellent touch that can be used to decorate the pool itself.

Build a Custom Pool

If you do not yet have a custom pool to host a holiday party, now is the perfect time to start your project. All Seasons Pools is the biggest pool building company in the state, and would be happy to provide you with the perfect swimming pool this holiday season. Not only do professionals bring the latest and most advanced resources to clients, but they also provide top quality, personal customer service that cannot be matched. If you have additional questions, visit our “Design Your Pool” page or contact a representative today.

Michael Fulmer Shares Why He Chose Us To Build His Pool in The Villages

AllSeasonsAdmin — Fri, 24 Jul 2015 16:03:39 +0000

Before you get a new pool you want to ensure that the company you choose will be able to provide all the features and options that you are looking for. You want a quality team that is able to handle the expert installation or renovation of your pool. That is why you should consider All Seasons Pools. We have more than 30 years experience installing pools throughout Florida and were recently ranked #1 in the nation for volume of pools built last year. Hear from one satisfied costumer in the video below and you’ll understand why so many people choose All Seasons Pools as their Florida Pool Builder to make their pool dreams a reality!

All Seasons Pools Meets Your Needs

It is always our goal here at All Seasons to help you create a backyard area that matches your unique needs and requirements. Michael Fulmer, from The Villages, FL explains what was important for him while having a new pool constructed:

“It was important for me to have a multi-purpose pool. One, for aesthetic, and two – functional, because it has a magic jet which gives me quite a bit of exercise. It also affords for parties. There is plenty of seating built into the pool and around the pool. There is also a couple of pillars along the decking and I can accommodate 50 to 100 people.”

Expert Pool Design

When you contact All Seasons Pools, a member of our design team will meet with you at your home to discuss options and begin the design process. Before getting started, Michael looked into several different pool companies and was pleased with the overall design process provided by All Seasons Pools:

“I did an evaluation of 4 different pool companies and [the All Seasons designer] Steven did a very good job of answering every question that I had. The design process was very easy. We gave a list of what was necessary and he took and plotted it out and we made changes, and it was excellent.”

Reliable Construction and Easy to Maintain Pools

We ensure that your pool construction is completed on time, while paying attention to every detail of the construction process. When we are finished with the project, you will have a beautiful new pool that is easy to maintain:

“All of the contractors that came out here were on time, they were clean, they were neat, they picked up after themselves and we got everything as we wanted it. This pool is easy to maintain because of the screen, because The Villages is in the middle of nowhere, so therefore, we don’t have a lot of the city dirt and dust and just the action of the water and the cleaning filters make it very easy – minimal cleaning. I’m just very pleased with All Seasons Pools.”

From the design of a new pool to the completed construction, All Seasons Pools will walk you through the entire process. If you are ready to get started on the design of a pool for your backyard then contact us today!
